Sisters in Solidarity Program

Cohort 1: March 2021 - November 2021 (Complete)

Cohort 2 & 3: April 2023 - March 2025 (Ongoing)

The Sisters in Solidarity (SIS) Program was launched in 2021 with the aim of empowering Black women and reducing the obstacles they face throughout the entrepreneurial cycle. As a collaboration between House of Nine Sorority and SETSI, in response to Cycle 3 of The Canadian Women's Foundation - Investment Readiness Program, we have established ourselves as a non-profit organisation committed to serving our vibrant community. This year, we are partnering with the Canadian’s Women’s Foundation, preparing to launch a bigger and better holistic SIS entrepreneurial experience that’s all about empowering black women and getting them investment ready!

The Sisters in Solidarity Program acknowledges the all-too-familiar story of underrepresentation and exclusion faced by Black women entrepreneurs. We have experienced firsthand the isolation and struggles in accessing crucial resources, funding, mentorship, and leadership opportunities. In response, we are determined to build a powerful sisterhood of Black women entrepreneurs who understand our shared experiences and aspire to break through systemic barriers. We invite you to join us in fostering deep connections and strengthening our supportive network within the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
