An excerpt from: Why People of Color Need Spaces Without White People
"People of color need their own spaces. Black people need their own spaces. We need places in which we can gather and be free from the mainstream stereotypes and marginalization that permeate every other societal space we occupy. We need spaces where we can be our authentic selves without white people’s judgment and insecurity muzzling that expression. We need spaces where we can simply be—where we can get off the treadmill of making white people comfortable and finally realize just how tired we are."
There is a dire need to connect Black
women on a global level where we
can look to each other for
community, support and sisterhood.
The rise in consciousness is among
us and, Black women want to
emancipate their minds. That can be
a daunting task to do alone. House
Of Nine Sorority was designed to bring
together others who share
the same desires and, seek
fulfilment within a sorority setting
on all ends of the globe.
House of Nine will create a legacy of excellence for Black women for centuries to come by building a global sisterhood and facilitating the upliftment of self and community, ultimately breaking generational curses, and freeing the Black women and Black people.
Our mission is to curate unique spaces that support Black women in their journey to self-actualization by providing healthy community spaces for growth.
